    TPMS Recommendation

Yes. Yours should have gen 3 Valor system. It works according to what I’ve read. Mine came with gen 1 Valor junk. It’s why I use a TST system.

    Rubber or metal valve stems

I have swapped all stems over to metal, and couldn't be happier. Definitely worth the upgrade having that peace of mind when running sensors👍

    Tire pressures experience

My freightliner manual says to follow instructions in the Valor TPMS manual to set the temp warning limits. Has anyone found instructions? I don't even know if we have Valor TPMS on the 2022 DS 4081 since the pressures are displayed on the Opti View instrument panel. There is a lot of...

Valve stem extender issue on Freightliner/Accuride wheels, again!

Thanks. I can try and call them to see what they recommend. I feel I need something as my hands don't fit in there to take the TPMS caps off....

    Tire monitors

Great! Thank you for the info.

FYI On a recent trip a Valve stem on the tow failed

On the VW the OEM TPMS system does not use sensors. The VW system uses differential wheel speed to sense low tire pressure. Unfortunately I have had many flat tires on this vehicle and the TPMS system works flawlessly. On the RV I use the EEZ TPMS system. EEZ uses screw on tire sensors. So the...

    TPS System Failure Am Dream

So please explain how the TPMS failed.

    TPMS vs Tire Pressure Gauge

Agreed - once I have the pressures are where I want them and my TPMS is reporting consistently, there is no reason to remove the sensor and use the gauge again. I only do that if something is off, or if ‘m changing pressures (which is not often). But at that point I probably am a but obsessive...

    Tire pressure

I’m usually traveling 1 day each 10 - 20 days. I pick either the day before or two days most. As soon as I get up I turn on my TPMS and check the tires. Any variance over 2-3 lbs. I correct.

    Tire Monitoring System

Renee, I’m about to order a new EEZ Tire setup to replace our old TST. Did you go with the flow thru sensors or the regular cap type? I wonder which to go with. All the best, Charlie & Ronni

Looking for a TPMS for Class A

My 22 will have a new tpms, but I have decided not to use it for the toad. The primary reason is my toad is a jeep wrangler, and I do the 5 tire rotation on it every 5k miles. It has large 37s and I want to get the most out of them. I considered buying the tool that let's me set the tpms, and...

Alert TPMS SENSORS ON RUBBER STEMS MAY CAUSE VALVE STEM FAILURE!

I went to a couple of tire shops today to see about metal stems on the toad. My 2015 Jeep Cherokee trailhawk has an on-board tpms in addition to the eez tire sensors I run on the toad valve stems for flat towing. To change out to a compatible stem for my vehicle was expensive. They (Big O)...

    Good TPMS?

I get a lot of results regarding tpms when I click your link.

FYI Inside tire Valve Stem Cap removal

...reverse direction. I took my bus to my local truck tire store and asked them to reverse the outside duel stem. Nope. It won’t accommodate the TPMS inside the rim. The next time I am at Prevost, I am going to get to the bottom of this and get the right answer. Getting that cap back on is...

    TPMS Recommendation

The only reason I like TPMS is for the possible road debris. Otherwise every stop I make (seems to be more often as I age), axles and tires get at minimum a visual. At least one stop in 300 miles gets a hand on both, hub, and tire. There is nothing that can replace proper maintenance and...

Valve stem extender issue on Freightliner/Accuride wheels, again!

Yes internal sensors, require a special tool to remove valve caps and a long, straight inflator

look to this site for information on your stems. https://www.tpms.com/Valve-Stems-Service-Kits-TPMS-s/8477.htm

    Tire pressure

To be honest I rely on the TPMS system most of the time for daily checks on a trip, unless there has been a significant environmental change temp/altitude. Normally I run +5 to +10 psi from the recommended pressure for current weight, but not over Max recommended tire pressure. .

TPMS Issues - Gen 1 -- NHTSA Recall Campaign

Dang, after all that I think I would have abandoned that system, or had it removed and just purchased a TST TPMS to use.
