2024 DS 4369 Color Correction and Ceramic Coating

I guess its the luck of the draw with a Newmar OR an Entegra. Here is another's experience with an Entegra Cornerstone
1. Main door wind noise while driving. - Worked on by Entegra Nov 22 - Not Foxed
2. Wine Fridge needs a lock. Using Velcro for now.
3. Window above wine fridge shade is not aligned over the window. Just realized that after a year of ownership.
4. Back Bathroom left 2nd drawer down is crooked.\ Fixed by Entegra at super show.
5. Front passenger seat will not rotate unlock. Fixed by Entegra at super show but need a C clamp on cable.
6. TMPS Valor not working on outer dual tires. Fixed by Spartan by adding antennas. Nov 22.
7. Aqua hot exhaust to low. Fixed by Entegra Nov 22.
8. HVAC 2 not cooling enough. Replaced by Entegra Nov 22.
9. Washing Machine - Not running properly. Control board changed by Entegra Nov 22.
10. Bedroom Fan makes noise after turned off while stopping. Fixed by Entegra Nov 22.
11. HVAC vent leaking from passenger side kitchen return. When we move the coach after running the HVAC. I cleaned out the tube. Fixed by Hal Sep 22.
12. Aqua Hot electric not working. (Trips breaker high limit in aqua hot). . High limit replaced by Entegra Nov 22.
13. Passenger side basement panel door catches on cooler panel door. . Adjusted by Entegra Nov 22.
14. Front window behind couch is loose and leaks air when traveling . Fixed by Entegra Nov 22.
15. Grout cracks in floor in front of kitchen pull out. And at bedroom entrance Fixed Entegra Nov 22.
16. Bathroom rear mirror - separating from door. Fixed by Entegra Nov 22.
17. Shower floor painted and paint came off. . Shower floor replaced by Entegra Nov 22.
18. Passenger seat stains and liner missing Seat replaced by Entegra Nov 22
19. Double door - Scratching and not sliding properly. Door replaced by Entegra Nov 22.
20. Wine fridge mounted crooked. Fixed by Entegra Nov 22.
21. Cracked tile in front of wine fridge. Fixed by Entegra Nov 22
22. Main Door flap rubbery torn near door handle Fixed by Entegra Nov 22.
23. Passenger chair arm (left) does not go up and down properly. . Fixed new chair - Entegra Nov 22.
24. Coach body next to door step not bolted. Fixed at homecoming but is loose again. Fixed by Entegra second time - Nov 22
25. Tank sensors incorrect - All three tanks. Recall Fixed by Entegra Nov 22
26. Kitchen counter pullout hangs low after being pulled out. Fixed by Entegra Nov 22
27. Kitchen garbage door does not stay closed when traveling. Fixed by Entegra Nov 22
28. Closet light not working. Wiring fixed by Entegra Nov 22
29. Drivers seat does not adjust. (Fixed by Hal) - shorted wire was tripping breaker. . (1 Aug 22)
30. 2 Tire pressure sensor not reporting (Spartan) . Fixed at Spartan by adding two antennas. (3 Nov 22)
31. Chassis Batteries Weak. . Replaced under warranty by Spartan (3 Nov 22)
32. Valid Air level null is off. . Reset by Hal (1 Aug 22)

34. Oil leak. - Cummins - In Grand Rapids. March 22.
35. Left side mirror on medicine cabinet separating from door . Fixed by NIRVC Feb 22

51. Magnets on shower to hold better . Fixed by NIRVC Feb 22

Entegra also gives you 2 years or 24,000 miles to work the bugs out vs 12 months
One of the frustrating things I went through with Newmar is they used to let you make a service appointment for work many months after the 12 months just as long as the defect was noted prior to the 12 month warranty expiring. it could take 3 months lead time for an appointment. They now have a hard line of it must be repaired no latter than the 12 months and with special permission an extra 2 month extension . This is very tuff given the dead of winter is pretty tuff to travel back and forth to them for 3 months or so.

Getting back to factory pick up, I wonder if the buyer saves the $380 that Newmar charges for the temporary windshield protection that the consumer never sees. This used to be $80 not to long ago

Not my experience. As long as you provide pictures or report it, its covered. I have had wonderful experiences with two Newmar coaches and waiting on my third to be delivered. I prefer Newmar because the Entegra woodworking is sub par for the price point. When I looked at Entegra's at shows, there was always at least one cracked tile.
Point is to each his own. Many have some problems to be worked out. I doubt that Gus started this thread to be an attack on Newmar as you appear to be making it. He, in fact was happy that Newmar took care of his issue.

Thank you, your DS is beautiful and I still love Newmar coaches, my issues are the management side of the company.

No not that I know of, they do have factory service.
NIRVC tracks defects at PDI and they have a pretty extensive process. The last numbers I heard was 13 defects avg on Entegra vs upwards of 50 items on Newmar. It is Brett Davis’s goal to start posting these numbers for all of the brands they represent on their website in an effort to keep the factories more accountable. I commend him for this.

This includes what is considered “Dealer” prep. Not sure what that entails but may be 4-8 hours of Prep work. Unfortunately it is the rare dealer that does any of the prep.
Remember this is a line built coach with many hands touching the assembly of various components. In a perfect environment it would be 100%. Using an assembly line the last 5% will double the assembly cost .

Circling back to the topic of ceramic coatings and paint correcting, I have been experimenting with ceramic spray after a wash and like the results. It is not comparable to a coating, but it is easy to apply when you just spray and wipe. I am trying it on my Jeep to start, and so far, I like what I see. I have tried 3D Ceramic Detail Spray and Torque which another coach owner raved about. Again, it's not even close to ceramic coating, but it's certainly worth looking at if you do not want to spend the $$ on having it corrected and coated and you can do it yourself.
