Hello everyone. We am new to trailering. We have a 23 ft starcraft. What is a good brand drinking water hose to use. Every hose listed seems to have asany bad reviews as good ones.
What are the favorites to use?

Thanks

Jody

We use one of the white ones, specially intended for potable water. As to brands, I'd say most reviews are related to connection failures, leaks, and such. Just figure on replacing it every 3 to 5 years, depending on use and abuse. And it is ONLY used for known clean water and a good filter system. Not one of the $16 RV types but more like the residential types with the replaceable elements. Notice I said "elements" plural. Sediment and taste filters. Always use a pressure regulator at the inlet or water source so as not to over-pressurize the hose or filter system.

I always despised trying to roll up that stiff white hose. Many folks recommended a ZeroG hose so I bought one. It folds up flat like a firehose into a neat bundle so I sure like that better. Some people have had problems with the fittings so I'm watching out for that. About a year on this one and no issues.
I also have one of those "As seen on TV" type expanding hoses. It stores as easily and in about the same space as the ZeroG. I works OK but I somehow just don't trust it to be the hookup hose. It's about two years old now.
The aluminum fittings on the ZeroG I suspect would be easier to detach if they were brass or steel. I still like the hose though. I put a quick connector on the coach end.
