Hi everyone,

I had another wire burn out in my Oasis this past week and called on Wednesday to see what to do next. Had to leave a message since no one answered. No one called back. Left another message yesterday. No answer. Left another message today. Normally they are very responsive so I am concerned …. Didn’t know if anyone had heard anything.

My problem was that the four wires that lead to the electrical elements burned through completely and smoked quite a bit. See picture. Keep in mind that I have an Oasis NE-s, which is the bigger unit. It appears to have burned through where there was a connection between the lines coming from the relay and connect to the elements. These were male/female connectors used and this is where they burned up. I will probably just cut the bad wire out and replace with wego connectors, but wanted to see if what ITR would say.

Let me know of you have heard anything.
Thanks
Rich

Damn...as posted I've had several of these and have boasted about my NEST smoke detectors that alerted me to the smoke in the basement twice, at least, now.

ITR is on the left coast, can't remember if they called me back in the past, just keep trying until they pickup. I'm curious what they have to say but I think the answer is simply get to the wires and fix them yourself as you alluded.

I think @ARD spoke with them today as she has a problem with her OASIS as well, potentially a pump fail.

Thanks. And I re-read your thread on your most recent smoke from the oasis and realized I also had the same issue with the aquastats burning up…

Does not give me much faith in these things.

No, it's very concerning that the "fire" based heater in the basement is not a safe device.

I've spoken to them twice today. Did you call 360-993-4877?

^^The number from @ARD is the one I called a couple weeks ago and did get a person.

I tried that one yesterday…800 numbers on other days.

I will give it a try!
Thanks!

Update: Same voicemail. Will keep trying. I guess I am having bad luck.
