RVF "Dinosaur"
Looks like the issue was a loose connection. I got up under the valance this morning and found the wire bundle to the shade motors. Tightened a couple of wire nuts and--voila--the shade is now working, This may not be a permanent solution, but it will do for the moment.
The shade rollers are in a nasty place to access. They are attached to the valance, so you can only move it a short distance from the wall without disconnecting all the wires. It looks like there is a snap-in bracket that will allow removal of the individual rollers. I didn't pursue that since the shade is now working, but it is nice to have a better understanding of how these things are mounted and wired.
