That is AWESOME workmanship...nicely done ?
I haven't done it yet. LOL.
But my intention is to do most of it within the next year.
To build a $1,000,000.00 coach for about $30,000.00 LOL
Poor boys have to acquire skills and "make" what they can not afford.
However, I am of the opinion that it cost very little more to make it "high end" than just slap paint on it.
Here are a few thing I have done over the years starting with a heap. I do "all" off my own work. mechanical, interior and paint.

Ah...it appears I jumped the gun...except, based on the pictures of your handiwork, I'll let my comment stand!

We're waiting and watching.... :)
Gonna finish the roof, replace tires, and do needed maintenance.
Have some fun this summer and fall. Start the reno this winter.

Great job on the roof! If I may ask, what purpose does the steering wheel have?

Keeps me going the right way! LOL

Was using it as a prop to keep water from collecting over a hole in the roof when I have a tarp over everything.

Rain in forecast all weekend so roof repair. I decided to take the ceiling repair. Got a sheet of 1/4" underlayment and a sheet of dense foam insulation. Cut them to fit. and glued them together. Glued the foam backing to the plywood, then ran out of glue before I could glue the vinyl to the foam. Will have to measure close on where to cut holes for the AC vents. Is It is going to be a challenge to get it back in place before the adhesive dries on the ceiling joist. When I get to that point.

You're a wildman @DHudson ! Good to know I'm not alone out here, lol.

I am having to replace a section of the interior ceiling in my 2000 Dutch Star. I need the "T" strip that fits into the Channel the ceiling section fits in. Any idea where I might source these piece. Newmar does not list them. I believe a lot of coach marker use this system. Thanks.

I would email or call Newmar parts. I'm sure they can get that for you, it seems common as I look up at it in mine.

Very nice work. And I love the Porsche

Ok, I applied a little heat and got the old ones out. Can reuse them. Yay me.

Fixed the illuminated door entry handle. Robbed a side marker light socket from a 68 Nova parts car I have.
Also fixed the release latch rod on rear engine hatch.
You know I've never seen one of these lit up before?

I guess it was a productive weekend. Last 3 weekends it has been raining, so roof is covered and I have been trying to do other things.
Last week, I kept getting a whiff of something. Pressure regulator on propane tank was leaking. Part was only $25.00. Easy fix. But I lost nearly 3/4 tank of propane over about 3 months.
Removed the mirrored back splash in the kitchen without tearing up the wall covering.
Finished the replacement ceiling panel and installed it. Not perfect, but I'm good with it.

So something that has been disgusting to me since I bought this coach is the layout in the wet bay. Or more specifically, the sewer attachments laying on top of the fresh water hose. That hose being in the same bay just isn't right. I know I can store the hose in another bay, and that is what is going to happen. So I am cleaning up the wet bay area. I removed the plastic tray today, and found water damage under it that went about 1/2 way under the water heater. It barely got to the water tank, so I am ok there. Newmar in their great wisdom used OSB in the floor on top of 1/16 plywood glued to 1/2" foam insulation. I literally peeled up majority of this mess. OSB was mush. It's about the most worthless product you could use when there is a chance of water exposure.
Any way , I got all of that cleared out and the area squared up. Cut a piece if plywood to fit and worked about an hour getting into the area. Finally got it in. It needs a little minor trimming, but is close. I have it raised up with a fan blowing under it to finish drying everything out good before I permanently install it. Once that is down, I am going to spray on bed liner on the whole area. Then fit my new pan in and start relocating things.

Tarp has been on the roof of the coach since April 25th.
Has rained every single week end since. Held off today, but sure looked like rain. Supposed to rain tomorrow and next 2 weeks.
Maybe I should start building a ARC.

You, sir, are a first-rate craftsman! Absolutely great work. You will have a show-piece coach that will also work well. Congrats.

The only question I have for you is “What do you do in your spare time? Hobbies, etc.?”

Thank you.
I own a NAPA store so I work from 7:30 to 6pm M-F. Work through lunch usually.
I am painting a 64 Mustang for a friend.
I am building a '69 Camaro for myself. I need to devote more time to that one.
I got a '78 Suzuki GS100E I am rebuilding. Haven't done much to that one in a while.
Oh, and rebuilding the U.S.S. Dutch Star. :ROFLMAO:
