Some health issues have lead me to sell my home in the UK and finally take that dream trip to the USA before it’s too late as I’m in my late fifties and widowed.
These health issues mean I struggle to plan after a mini stroke before covid, so researching things becomes difficult for me.

I’ve decided to buy rather than rent, with a budget up to $20k for the camper.
If anyone can point me to a thread on Brits being insured in the USA with links to providers, that would be great.

I’ve also heard I’ll need an address once I’ve bought the vehicle to send the title and insurance documents? Correct me if I’m wrong on either of those.
Without a contact in the U.S, what’s the best approach? If it’s been done before that would be a big help.

Finally, what’s the best state for me to fly into to look for a camper? California has nice weather so less rust, but more taxes etc?
Any help is always appreciated with tips and tricks.
