Interesting. For Oregon these things seemed interesting in the new compliance laws, but the language seemed specific to commercial trucks (I'm not a lawyer):
  • If vehicle is operated for 5K or fewer miles on Oregon highways in a calendar year owners can apply for an exemption.
  • If your rig is powered by a model year 2006 or older diesel engine you may not be able to get a title come Jan 1, 2025
  • If your rig is powered by a model year 2006 or older diesel engine you may not be able to register that vehicle as of January 1, 2029.
Best,
-Mark

I bet this wont impact all the private jets and other toys those left coasters have... or will have...

It looks like other states will be adopting this in the future.

Not to worry! We are traditional Republicans, not Maga, but we have no desire to invade. Judy D

They fought a long hard battle to get their Texas Pete back. We need to be understanding.

There is something common with all these states but I can't quite put my finger on it.

I think the ACT is just the beginning of troubles for the EV mandates. Auto manufacturers can’t sell enough EVs to make a profit and the subsidies aren’t enough to bridge the gap. Many autos have already changed they plan for ev, or scrapped it altogether.

2030 is not realistic.
