Except nothing changed. Instead of black smoke we know have the same carbon being dropped on the ground and going into the water. Before it went into the air before going into the water.I remember the days of black smoke coming from diesel exhaust. While DEF sucks it does seem to have fixed that problem. For some reason though I guess it's not good enough?
This is one of the many things that will happen. Once states rights are limited to the borders of their own state, many ridiculous side effects will be resolved.I know CARB is a state run mafia agency, but I wonder if they could be sued using the recent

The Supreme Court weakens federal regulators, overturning decades-old Chevron decision
The Supreme Court has upended a 40-year-old decision that made it easier for the federal government to regulate the environment, public health, workplace safety and consumer protections.apnews.com
FL and SP are the vehicle manufacturers. They issue the VIN. Everything else on the truck are just parts.I'm just confused how the letter in the OP lands on chassis vendors and not the engine vendor? How are FL and SP part of this? Maybe they own the after-treatment "emissions" side, I don't know.
I am amazed by the lack of coverage this has had in the RV trade rags (online and print). Crickets...
Thanks @Diesel Pusher. Same authors had this update a couple of days later: https://www.rvtravel.com/rv-industry-responds-6-state-motorhome-ban-controversy/
Correct. This problem will only be solved by those people and companies who live and do business in California. 58% of the voters in California keep voting in politicians who make these foolish decisions. Until that changes they win and if you want to buy a new diesel pusher in California you are out of luck. What the majority of citizens in California don't understand is that this foolishness does not stop with a ban on certain RV's.Vendors going to court doesn’t solve the problem.
Citizens and individuals are the ones with standing , even more so than the vendors.
It just takes one person to sue the CARB to get this thing unraveled. It has to be an individual with standing (aka live in a state bound by CARB) who is willing to spend personal funds for justice.
Lawyers will tell you that a person who sues for justice is a fool about to lose money, so it would also have to be someone willing to be called a fool and lose money.
Done properly and with enough media attention, go fund me and other revenue streams would open up.
It would be great if a platform existed that would encourage citizens to take a stand for principles and to finally go after the crooks in power that profit from their version of how we should live.
I personally have no standing. My businesses that are in affected states also have no standing due to the fact that we title our vehicles in other states.
The fallout is expanding. Ford has recently announced it will stop selling certain F series super duty trucks in California, the ones that tow large 5th wheels and travel trailers. https://www.rvtravel.com/ford-super-duty-trucks-longer-sale-california/What the majority of citizens in California don't understand is that this foolishness does not stop with a ban on certain RV's.
It's so hard to talk about this governmental mandate without talking about fighting or mitigating it politically. But, I'm asking that you please help us fight like the guy in the video says, by contact your Representatives. We don't want this spilling over onto more states.Correct.
