How To Drain all fluid out of a sani-con hose

Trivial it seems...right? Most of us with sani-con try to get the gray fluid out after dumping and getting ready to pack up and leave by wiggling the hose to walk the water out. Doesn't work! It's not like the stinky slinky as there seems to be a vacuum lock or lack of venting with sani-con. What does work is if you turn on the sani-con and then do the wiggle and even better would be to leave gray open so there is a vent source. Once the fluid comes out then turn off your sani-con and if you opened gray make sure to close it. Again, sani-con off and gates closed will NOT get the water out of your sani-con hose, in my experience.

Our experience is a little different, @Neal. It just takes a little patience IME.

I run the Sani-con to expel the black water, close that valve and open the gray and run the Sani-Con to to expel it. Once I have both black and gray water tanks empty, and both drain valves closed, I wait a couple of minutes. This allows any fluid downstream of the valves to fully drain.

Then, starting as close to the Sanicon-Con pump as possible, I slowly raise the hose to at least knee height and slowly "walk it out" to the sewer fitting. This process is repeated at least twice. Doing it slowly allows air to backfeed into the hose and break any suction. Now, let the hose sit for 2-3 minutes and then do a final, slow walk-out, keeping the hose at knee height or higher.

This has worked very well for us. YMMV

I changed all my hoses (primary and extensions) to add banjo fittings on each end. No fuss no mess just cap it when your done and you are ready to go the next time. It also makes it simple when you have a long reach just snap in the addition and I can reach 50 plus feet to drain. no more mess in storage and I cleaned up the wet bay by being able to store the hose separately

My last CG I needed a longer hose so I just didn't dump there. Rarely does that happen but it does. I don't get how some people layout these sites where the dump port is so far back. I'll have to look at your setup, more pics if it helps would be appreciated.

I have all the Banjo fittings on hand to do the same; just haven't gotten around to doing it yet. If we ever get any decent weather (it has rained nearly every day for two months), that project is on my short list. I bought my Banjo fittings via Amazon.

Hmmmm. Interesting that it looks like you used 1" fittings. My Sanicon-Con hose In the 2018 MADP is 1.5" ID, so I bought these:
