Electric half ton comparison chart.

Hi folks. Found a comparison chart between the 3 production EV 1/2 tons. May help some in choosing if you are looking at an EV half ton.

The ford is the most truck like. The Rivian R1T and Tesla cybertruck are more of a “compact high performance sport truck” approach as one analyst mentioned. The cybertruck has the longest box and most lockable storage and by far the fastest charging. They all have their pros and cons. I didn’t have a pic of the Ford Lightning, but it looks like an F150.

Anyway. Here’s the chart. Enjoy.

If the Ford CEO isn't impressed with his EV product, why in the world would any customer spend $80,000 plus for one? The infrastructure simply doesn't exist and according to the manufacturers, it won't exist for at least 10 years.

Nah. The dual motor cybertruck with the aux pack has a range of 470 miles. So a towing range of a typical trailer pulled by a half ton would be around 250 miles based on historical info. (And my personal experience).

I don’t know. The nfrastructure isn’t great everywhere but is certainly good in lots regions. Charging facilities are ubiquitous in our province.

Holy moly, batman!!! This has been talked till many are blue in the face!!! When you go out the front door start looking for strategically placed vipers.

We all know the health hazards of cobalt mining. What strip mining for lithium does for the environment. We know there are large lots full of EVs in the EU that are considered super sites because of the toxic batteries no one has figured a cost effective way to recycle. Top that off with the downstream emissions charging from the grid produces that are greater than a typical internal combustion vehicle produces!

But hey, what the hell!!! The trend says as a whole, we don't care, as long as we die before the world does!!!

Some of us want a better life for those we brought into this world, so we don't follow, and we do our research!!! But the trend towards these technologies, proves we are a minority!!! Really it is a bad state of affairs, that I am ashamed to say I walk on two legs!!!
