Jim....Congrats on your new coach! It's a real beauty!

We have been on the road the past two months, & just got back to St. Augustine! And I'm just catching up on all the activity!

You are a blessed man, enjoy your new coach!

At this time, it looks like I'll be hopping jet for MN on Thursday and driving back over the following week. I'm getting a 1/2 day training on the systems, but I don't know what I don't know, so to speak.

Not concerned with things like starting the generator, slide operation, etc., but more interested in the Oasis system and other stuff that I've never had any experience with.

So if I may, can any of you give me some suggestions on what other things I should get educated on before I pull out of the lot.

Thanks in advance!

I can help you with driving at night. I'll plan you a great route.

Silverleaf,

I know you mentioned you are familiar with slide operation but I believe the 2016 is prior to Newmar using the Star Foundation on their chassis. If this is true on your London Aire, and you have the HWH full wall slide, please check the slide reveal each and every time you bring the slide in or out.
Best of luck with your new beauty!

Thank you, J&JD. From what I've read, or at least from what I remember, 2016 was the first year for the Star Foundation.

Detailed and ready to come home! Not able to buy out the time to go get her, so I'm having it delivered. I really wanted the seat-time and the training at the dealership, but too much stuff going on.

The Office Congrats GIF

She’s a beaut!

Nice!

If I was ever able to upgrade that's the floorplan I'd like to have.

Kind of dreaming about winning the lottery and having Newell or Foretravel build it for me though.
I'd be plenty happy with yours also.

She's a beauty Jim - Congrats

Bravo again Jim, well earned.

Is there any update on your coach @Jim

During the inspection at the Steinbring dealership, there was some concern that the FWS might have some issues. As luck would have it, a rep from Newmar was at the dealership and they decided to send the coach to Newmar for further inspection.

So off to Newmar it went, and Monday the technicians will put their eyes on it and make a prognosis. I spoke with Rick Drinkwine, the London Aire specialist at Newmar, and he said that he feels that the repair will be far less involved than what was originally diagnosed.

So it's been awhile, and I never expected the delay, but the last thing I wanted was to bring it home and later find that I had real issues to deal with.

Its a big complex machine (someone once tried to tell me there aren’t) so this is really no surprise, but you certainly getting top notch customer service. And I agree - better on the front end. I had to take mine back to the “local” La Mesa shop to have a slide worked on which took two round trips through Sacramento (almost 3 hours each) to accomplish. They fixed it no charge which was nice as I had no expectations of that, but it would have been a lot less trouble if it were done prior to my taking ownership.

Nice coach, best of luck!

Look’s like @ARD is at Newmar the same time as my rig. So, she called up her better-than-average sleuth powers and found it hiding in the far reaches of the Newmar maintenance building.

Should be ready to come home real soon!

Thank you, Renee!

Will you be adding the drone catapult launcher on the roof like @Neal has on the ventessex?
