Last few attempts to level my 2018 DS 4369 on a slightly left leaning slope resulted in three jacks extending and leveling the coach. Front and rear on the left side and front on the right passenger side. Right rear didn’t extend (and wasn’t needed to level the coach). The right rear will extend manually. Fluid level Is good. Engine on fast idle with over !3 volts supplied so low voltage isn’t an issue. Hadn’t had that happen before and was looking for some insight. Thanks. Russ
 
I don’t have auto-level, but what you describe makes sense if the spot was not only leaning left, but also low on the front.
 
I also have HWH system. I use auto level, verify with a 2ft level and adjust as needed.
 
Thanks, but the issue isn’t whether it levels, but the failure to deploy the right rear jack.

I have had the same issue, or at least similar where the right rear jack did not fully extend. It has only occurred a few times the past 3 years and when it did, I just extended the one jack manually until it was on the ground. Not sure why it happened, but a few occasions out of several hundred does not concern me since they work well on most occasions.

Can you manually lower that jack?

There is a guy that hangs out on several RV forums that works for HWH and offers free help to anyone that contacts him. His name is Paul Maddox , his email is [email protected], his phone # is 1-602-549-3638. He is a field tech and has worked for HWH for 20+ years. A good guy, helped me out when I needed it.
 
I appreciate all of the info and please keep the suggestions coming. I will drop Paul a note. Newmar suggested I check the pressure switch. I will but don’t think that is the issue. I believe it’s in the control module, but hate to start throwing parts indiscriminately at the problem. There is an HWH parts supplier in or near Nappanee that I used to buy parts in the past. They were cheaper than HWH- if anyone knows their number it would be helpful. I’m researching my records with no joy yet.

Update: Looks as if the problem is in the jack pressure switch located at the top of the jack There are two sensors, one that lets the control board know the jack has moved downward past stowed point (and when it returns) and the second is the pressure switch. The pressure switch provides the control board feedback as to when 250 lbs of pressure have been achieved when the jack hits the ground. The pressure switch grounds when that occurs and stops the hydraulic pump (unless the level system calls for adjustment). It comes into play when the jack isn't needed for leveling i.e. the other jacks level due to the slope and the jack is only needed for stabilization. The control circuitry will lower the jack and send a signal to turn it off after the jack hits the surface and exerts 250 pounds of pressure. My challenge is now changing the pressure switch located at the top of the jack between the tag and drive axle. I don't think I can do it without removing the tag tire. It's a pretty tight fit. I've corresponded with Paul and HWH and will talk to Chuck at Stuart's tomorrow. Thanks again/

How did you get the old switch out and put the new one in as I have the same problem, and need to change mine between the drive and tag axle.

I have the exact same issue at times. I just recycle the auto level sequence and it has always self corrected.
I guess I need to read the manual again but I can never figure out which arrows to push to manually level the coach. It does not seem very intuitive to me. If there was simply and up or down arrow for each jack it would be easier to understand. I just use the auto level for now but if I wanted to raise the wheels off the ground I would need to use the manual function.
 
forget the jacks when manually leveling. Think about your coach when pressing the arrows i.e. front up or rear up, etc.

My understanding is that the ability to raise one jack individually would also allow you to tweak your chassis, so instead you can manually raise either end or either side evenly. Looking at the arrows that way they make sense.
