Kitchen island on phaeton 2022 wont open

Hi Friends. We are having an issue extending our kitchen island in our 2022 phaeton. We’ve had other Tiffin owners try and no luck. the handle/hook won’t pull out or twist. Anyone experience something similar? I know it’s a warranty item but getting servicing is tough!

Can you take a picture of the release mechanism so we can see how yours works? My Newmar you press in on a button and you may have to push in on the island to help it release.

If you reach your hand or fingers underneath the ledge, where the island slides under the main counter. there is a t bar attached to it seems with like a little cable. You pull it out and it will unhook the latch mechanism, and the island slides out. I was just playing with it on a 2022 Phaeton 36.
