I installed mine today. Good thing I have the seam tape I mentioned in another thread as the Dometic t-stat is wider so you will have two holes exposed (if you do it right, otherwise 4). I'm not sure what's going on with @Micro-Air servers (Amazon AWS) it seems as there were numerous errors in various functions such as check for updates, I can't connect to it from home via WiFi, etc. Hopefully the issues will resolve in time. A little bit of a learning curve on the symbology, good thing I took a picture of the icon reference card to have on my phone but the Help area of the app takes you to it as well (via web page). Looks good, haven't tested AGS, will see how it works over time but it has a lot of control, calibration, settings, etc. My dometic was typically 4 degrees off so we'll see how this one does for temp accuracy.

Sent an email to @Micro-Air and got a reply with troubleshooting steps. Went back to the coach in storage today to give it another shot, selected the Bluetooth option, went to the menu (settings) to Add Device, added the device, then tapped it after setting a name for it and went into Settings again, then WiFi and entered my WiFi SSID and password, and it connected. Settings again and did a check for updates, had an update so I let it to its thing for about 10 minutes with other chores and came back and all looked fine. Now I'm home and I can connect to it as expected. Didn't need to refer to the troubleshooting steps, just re-adding the device after removing it yesterday worked.

@Neal , have you had a chance to play around with your Micro-air thermostat? I’m still on the fence about switching mine out.

I've installed it and I can view the features on the mobile app. All looks worthwhile so far to me. I have not tested AGS but the verdict is it should work as before.

My first use of the new @Micro-Air wireless thermostat, some feedback:
  • Touch-screen is not the best, it's not the greatest in responding to touch but it works. Much better to drive this from the smartphone
  • I don't know where it's getting weather data nor do I know where to set the location
  • I used the furnace here in South Carolina and what I noticed is the intervals between runs is short. It will run, stop as it probably reached setpoint then within a minute later it's running again. Really can be annoying. Not sure if there is a way for some threshold between runs or some temp offset before it runs again but it seems like it's 1 degree and working very hard, annoyingly, to maintain setpoint. I haven't used the Heat Pump (or AC) yet but I think it requires a 5 minute interval between runs, I hope that is honored and it works that way.
  • I have not tested actual temp vs. setpoint but hunch is it's accurate where the prior Dometic t-stat was way off for me. I'll report back on this, just thought of this test.

After about two weeks of use I give the smart t-stat a thumbs up. It is a nice addition and replacement for the dometic manual t-stat.

I have a Micro-Air thermostat model 352C for my 2017 Allegro 32SA. Installation literally took two minutes and came preassembled with three plug-in clip attachments that match the existing wiring perfectly. The unit is such an incredible upgrade with the ability to remotely control the coach’s temperature that I ordered a second one for the bedroom. Extremely easy to install and set up. And any questions I had were quickly answered, by a human being in the United States, that answered the phone directly at Micro-Air. If you roll a Tiffin that currently uses Coleman AC control you owe it to yourself to invest in a Micro-Air thermostat controller.

Additionally I have their soft start units attached to both of my air conditioners. They make a huge difference is energy draw at start up. Like their thermostats if you don’t have these on your air conditioners should really look into it.

Everyone be safe, don’t drive on cracked tires!

I just uninstalled my Micro-air after it failed to start my AGS and reading on IRV2 that it wouldn't. I thought I had done an update a month or so ago when I installed it, but maybe I didn't. I'll reinstall, check for updates, and then retest to see if it will work with ext-input on the AGS.

With dogs, this is a must. I had a low voltage situation at a park this weekend, and my EPO shut off power to the coach, and my AGS didn't turn on. After checking a bunch of stuff, I tried switching back to the dometic, and it fired right up. Checked IRV2 and saw that it can't work as ext-input, but obviously am reading something different on here.

Has anyone actually tested with ext-input AGS after their update?

Just tested mine at a rest area. It did not work. Putting old tstat back on tonight and will contact micro-air.

Bummer, but thanks for sharing. Please keep us informed. Like you, can't risk the dogs as much as I loved the convenience of the Mico-air. Too hot or cold in bed, picked up tablet. Wife or I planning to head to RV garage to get RV ready for a trip, connect and pre cool the RV. Would love to have it back, but won't risk my three dogs.
