I'm in the process of doing all the steps for purchasing my first RV. Looking at a 2015 Newmar Dutch Star 4312. Pretty excited, nervous, and everything in between. It has over 70K miles but seems overall in great condition. Will be getting a full inspection done. It's in TX and I'm in NY so it's quite nerve wrecking to do this at a distance. If I have to walk away the day I'm there in person I'll lose $500 and cost of travel so overall pretty cheap walkaway price.

Any advice, thoughts or just random things you want to share?

That is a pretty rare and unique floor plan. Best of luck with your purchase.

Getting an inspection is absolutely the right thing to do. I assume you will be utilizing an RVIA certified inspector? He/she will point out everything you will need to be alerted to.

Yeah, the dealer is pushing their inspection as all I need but def getting my own too. I am going down the RVIA cert route but really feel unimpressed by a lot of the inspectors. A lot of them feel like retirees who took a course and are now doing inspections. Some don't even have any relevant background. To me that worries me, I'd very much prefer a mobile tech or one that's been in the field for a while.

And yeah LOVE the floorplan. We have 2 kids and they're little so the bunkroom in the back vs mid coach is great.
