$700? What in the world is involved? I changed a pump without clamping the lines and 1/2 of my fluid flushed out. I filled the reservoir back up with new fluid for whatever the fluid costs. Now I agree that whoever does the work will probably need to find a more professional way to drain the fluid, but damn man, how hard can it be?Hey everyone. My oasis fluid is due for a change (maybe overdue) and was wondering how many of you have done this yourselves or had someone do it. I got a quote from a local guy for about $700 including the fluid.
Thanks
Good luck, Rich! The fluid is listed as $30 per gallon….for $10 gallons. So that’s half of it. I believe my system will probably take up to 15 gallons.
I know you can get a better price…even CW has it for less than $25 per gallon and I think you can buy it in 5 gallon buckets for less, so there’s that.
I have been thinking of doing it myself…even if it took me many hours. But was wondering how many people have actual done it themselves.
Thanks. I have watched that video….and it helps, but I have an Oasis NE-S which does not have the separate junction box…. I have instructions that show that you should flush with fresh water which he didn’t not do.The AZ Expert offers a comprehensive video showing the procedure to drain and refill your Oasis hydronic heat system on YouTube. I plan to complete that procedure in the spring!
What makes you think this? I believe the answer is a pH test. Maybe consult with ITR, assuming they answer your callHey everyone.
