@Jim do you have the DEF head simulator? If not, consider emailing [email protected] and getting one. See if you can get to an OASIS branded FL service center or whatever FL Gaffney may advise.

Yes, the Ocala Freightliner shop had an "Oasis" sticker on the door, but I didn't see it until I was leaving, and by that time there was so much bad blood between everyone that it was too late. Besides, if their approach to fixing the Oasis is anything like their previous methods of operation, I will need to:

• Chat with an blunt person who makes it clear they don't make appointments, so bring my rig down and get in line,
• Wait 2-days and pay a $500 minimum charge to have the system looked at,
• Spend 3 days in a motel while Freightliner orders parts that aren't available,
• Argue with the same blunt person about why they are charging me an additional $75.00 for shop supplies when no work was done,
• Drive away 4 days later, $550 lighter in the wallet and no closer to a solution than I was when I "got in line".

I will say however, that the Holliday Inn Express we stayed at was the nicest hotel of its caliber that I have ever visited. Well worth the $130 a night we get to toss onto the Freightliner ordeal. The staff was friendly, the room was spotless, the breakfast bar was great and the Internet worked very well. Top notch operation and I would highly recommend it should you ever have to deal with Ocala Freightliner for anything.


As for the DEF simulator, I have emailed Keith. Thank you!

Jim he told me the same thing. On the bright side, he said there was less problems with the sixteen model because they're analog. I know it doesn't help. I am only one hour from freightliner Gaffney if I can help you with getting parts. Let me know.

Getting closer to finding out what's up with this Oasis. Contacted an Oasis repair facility in Ft. Myers. They were closed but he called me back and offered his help. He had me flip a switch that is on top of the silver box, a switch I had no idea even existed. Strange that I didn't, given that I've had that cover plate off several times in the last week or so.

But anyhow, the Oasis fired right up and we now have hot water! I'm not 100% sure but I think he said something about it being a summer loop bypass. But like I said, I'm not 100% sure on that. But when I get to the bottom of this whole affair, I will write up everything I've learned and post it in the appropriate area.

I have 3 spares onboard right now. Just have to figure out which pump is the bad one. If the bad pump had blown a fuse, it would be easy to find. But it didn't, so I don't know which pump is the bad one. Trial and error will start tomorrow!

There are lots of threads on Oasis pump changes which helped me a LOT in recently having to change my summer loop and zone 2 pumps. But one thing I did not understand going in was the hydronic fluid

At the top of the distribution box you will see two small wires for a thermistor zip tied to a pipe. This temperature sensor is also in the loop of the 12V for the summer loop pump. While it’s probably not bad it could be. You can bypass the thermistor by connect the two wires connected to it together. One female and one male. You could also do a continuity check on the thermistor wires. I previously had an issue with my summer loop pump running when the system was turned off and working with ITR we decided to just add a switch in other to ensure the pump didn’t run when the coach wasn’t in use. I’m now full time so I haven’t used that switch in a few years. If the problem is the pump (you can test it with direct 12V) you’ll want to have a hose clamp to cut supply to the pump. The output has a check valve.
