Thanks guy's! I can't do much of anything until I get the coach back from Freightliner. NIRVC was unable to determine what was causing the previously mentioned SPN 3363 FMI 16 code, and suggested it may be something that won't happen again. But that wasn't the case, and it reared its ugly head as we entered Florida. So now Freightliner can take a stab at it. Hopefully I'll have it back to get to Key West on time.

They can be intimidating at first but once you get into them its not bad at all. I was surprised by that too. One less thing you have to pay to have done.

My rig's been sitting at Ocala Freightliner for the last two days. Wow, what an experience. The girl who answers the phone and also works the front desk, has apparently been to Freightliner school and excels in doing everything possible to be unhelpful.

My coach needed a DEF heating unit, about $1,000 at a dozen other places, but Ocala Freightliner is charging me $1,920.44. Then to install this friggen piece of gold, I have to pay another $1,125.00. Not sure, but I don't think there are more than a handful of bolts to remove/replace, a few hoses to clamp, and then clear the code.

So total out the door cost of doing business with Ocala Freightliner will be $4,147.95. I understand everyone has to make a profit, but this is crap.

Jim I can't believe the bad luck your having, and wish there was something I could help you with. A friend and also my mechanic said he could remove all the def junk on my coach for 25 hundred,and it would run much better and last longer. I said I didn't want to take a chance of getting in trouble. Your colorful explanation of the freightliner employees was priceless!

What was the reason you took it there? Are they an OASIS branded FL location (meaning RV service center)? I hope it's not a misdiagnosis and you called 800-FTL-HELP for their guidance.

For that price difference I would be considering driving it to a different location to save the extra $1.5k-$2.0k
