It's been awhile since this thread saw some attention, and with Ard's post of the new Magna Shade Floor Mats, I thought I'd contribute a poor-man's version of the same. :) This was a fun family project, and it added a ton of usefulness, as well as contributing to the looks of an older coach.

My last diesel was a Tiffin Phaeton, and it didn't come with any indoor/outdoor carpet in the cockpit area. And as can be expected, what was outside, generally found its way inside. Trish found a nice remnant at the local carpet store, and with some cardboard and newspaper, we made a templet. Using the templet, I cut the carpet and then were were back to the carpet store to get the edges bound.

Pic's 1 & 2 are the templet and how we layed it on the carpet before cutting. Pic 3 is the cut carpet before having the edges bound. And pics 4 & 5 are finished product, but you'll probably have to zoom in to see the finished edges.

The finished product looked great and was quite functional.

Looks great! New coach?

Lord Buddy, has Jeanette left you unsupervised again?
As a matter of fact...I put her on a plane to Philadelphia yesterday morning. 10 days - woohoo!

I thought I detected a false sense of bravado. . . :)
