When I got my Sprint SIM and also my T-Mobile SIM I didn't take anything in the store other than a photo (on my phone) of my IMEI etc. info. I left with a SIM in hand, didn't have any devices with me.

Yeah, i don't think they care these days, I don't think they require an IMEI, or if they do, give them some other device you have laying around. I don't think they authenticate the SIM to only that IMEI... but could be wrong. It woudl be interesting to see what they said if you just gave them the IMEI of your Peplink.. I don't think they'd refuse.

I gave both Sprint and T-Mobile IMEI from Pepwave, they don't care, it's just whether it's recognized in their system as identified or not but both said they didn't need it but entering it I think activated it or something.

I just got a quote request back from the 5G store. The new Peplink Max Transit 5G Router is $999. I'm tempted. I'm going to wait a few months to make sure there's no issues around different carriers, they mentioned none of the major carriers are certified yet. I'm sure they'll work it out if there's early problems.

It would pair up nicely with my single modem Cat 18 unit.

1 x Pepwave MAX Transit with 5G + Cat 20 LTE + PrimeCare $999.00

Go for it!! :) Let us know how it works out.

Might want to take a look at the Peplink forum with regards to some of the issues with the Peplink 5G devices. I get the impression some of the issues are not associated with certification. My hat goes off to you early adopters of bleeding edge technology.

can you just get the SIM and not tell them what it's for, or fib, whatever just to get the SIM then put it where you want it.
I have the SIM. It is not listed in the choices on the ipad.

I visited the local AT&T store today and left 20 minutes later with a SIM card after paying $16 for setup and agreeing to $55 per month which can be cancelled at any time. Back at the coach, the SIM card worked immediately in the Pepwave MAX BR1 Mini.

I will likely pick one of these up when I can find a store as I'm a bit remote presently. My fear is someday Mobley is going to die off and I need to dive on an alternate. I also want to see how the newer SIM (with 5G) plays with their towers compared to my 4 year old SIM card from the Mobley.
