Looks great! I agree about adding the hosts site…

I also noticed a building called “check in”. Is that new?

We're going to a "contactless check-in" process, Rich. I tested it the last couple months of last year, and it proved quite effective. So the tech shed is now a check-in hut. :) Guests stop there to unhook their toad, collect an information package, and receive detailed instructions of their site's location and how to navigate into it. Firewood purchases, internet upgrades, and extended stays are now handled via an app.

All guests receive at least 2 emails prior to arrival, and I make it clear that "if" they want someone to meet them and help them get into their site, we'll be there for them. But last year showed that the majority of guests prefer minimal interaction upon arrival, so the self-check-in system provides all the information they need while allowing them to decompress from the drive and settle in at their own pace.

I have also hired a very nice couple, Howard & Barbara, who will be running the park this upcoming season. Hopefully they will like it here, and will be with us for years to come. They are currently running a park in Marianna Fl, and I was lucky enough to make them part of the Deer Springs team. :)

Sounds like a plan! Thanks for the info. I agree that many people would be good with a self checkout option.

Thanks

Great addition to the web site…I think that will be very helpful!

I finally got to visit the internationally famous Nantahala Outdoor Center when I stayed with you last fall. Bucket list item checked.

We've been working on "Adams Creekside Park". Got a long way to go, but it's getting a little better each year. :)

Awesome! We really want to get there this summer…maybe in August. Fingers crossed.

Thanks for the update Jim!

Nice Jim! We will see you at some point this year.

Looks like Mrs. Trish got a new ride to shuttle flowers around the park!

Make sure she remembers to be at ride height before extending the slides.😁 That’s a nice ride.

Wow that's a really nice little ride and a heck of a lot of flowers !!!!! Hope I can make it down sometime this year.

Today, I did some work on the new Ste #9 which I will be opening shortly. The majority of the work was completed December of last year, but I still need to "fancy it up" a bit. ;)

So today I built a retaining wall so that Trish has a place to plant flowers and whatever else she has in mind. If you know Trish, you know it will be spectacular! I also transplanted a White Pine to soften up the gouged up mountain. (That's it in the picture.) Site #9 is a (LARGE) pull through site, any size rig OK. (Second picture was taken in the Summer of last year so you know what to expect.) Full hookups, nice long range views, very private site as the nearest camper is 100' away.

I have some "beta testers" bringing in their rig on Sunday. Normally I do the "rig testing" myself, but since the RV Barn was destroyed a month ago, my rig got left in Silver Springs. But it wasn't a problem finding a volunteer. :)

So all-in-all, it's been a pretty good day. Ryker's getting much needed exercise time in the field, I only have 19 days of work left to do before the park opens in 6-days, and I found the glasses I lost last week at the bottom of our pond. Took a while to fish them out, lol.

What a view. If you have not been to Deer Springs RV Park in the Smokey Mountains you must go! Beyond the amazing people, it's a gem of a location.
