OhhhhhNoooo! What could be worse?!?!?
Showed up in Frankford KY, all jazzed-up for some serious summer bourbon buying at the Buffalo Trace Distillery. Pulled up to their gate and an armed guard says "Nope, the place is flooded and you ain't gettin' in." Not for the day, but until they get the giant mess cleaned up, flooded bourbon barrels inspected, and the store restocked for ME...their buying public! The distillery is located on the Kentucky River, and the river got all pissed about the serious downpours, and now I'm almost out of Eagle Rare!
And, that's where I am with my Newmar today.

They plan to be back to normal in a few days. The bad news is the weather forecast is calling for enough rain to cause more flooding in next few weeks.

Where are you or where were you staying in the area? Are most of the rv sights ok around there?

We were at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington…muddy, but acceptable. Elkhorn Creek had high water, but is open with some sites out of commission. Other parks on the river or creeks were in various states of damaged. We’re on our way to Nappanee now.

Overnight Harvest Host at Rocky Mount Mills on our way to Myrtle Beach.

Nice quiet location close to I-95 with great pizza shop. Kids were happy because we were jumped onboard the Starlink train and they had solid internet access!

We got to Lakewood Camping Resort on Wednesday. The weather couldn’t be better!

KOA Santa Fe, New Mexico

I left Elephant Butte, NM on Friday and drove up to Santa Fe making my way to Colorado. My original schedule was planned for an overnight stay but weather changed my plans. A Spring storm rolled in on Friday night into Saturday and the CO and NM mountains received a foot of snow. My route has me going over Raton Pass, which is around 8,000 feet and it got a foot of snow, so I decided to spend another day here giving it today to be confident the roads would be clear of snow and ice.

After spending a delightful Easter at Lakewood Camping Resort in Myrtle Beach, we made it to our last stop at Sun Outdoors Resort Myrtle Beach in Conway. Then back to work to pay for this lifestyle
