    URPOWER Solar Lights

...lights at the four corners of my coach, I actually removed the forward left one as the slide tipper was triggering it. These motion activated solar powered solar lights are great for security, illumination when you walk in areas so you don't walk into slides, etc. etc. I use the 3M hook tape...

    EV (vehicle) disposal?

My perception is with EV's, solar farms, solar on homes that battery production is or will be at all time highs. How will the back side of that look for recycling or disposal? I realize your house batteries are primarily lead but with Lithium based batteries, how does the recycling picture change?

    Question Roof solar pre-wire access

In the photo below is the marked area where I should find the solar pre-wire? I understand one needs to drill thru the roof covered by the metal plate to access the solar pre-wire?

What Class A should we replace ours with?

I have 6 100 w solar panels. Im not going to use the rig for a few month and would like to shut done all power to the rig. I'm thinking on shutting of the batteries and pulling off negative lead, disconnect a/c shore and inverter. Also, i was thinking to disconnect the solar panels by...

    Looking for ideas & HowTos

Found this site while searching & researching ways to mount solar panels on a travel trailer. We own a 2022 Coachmen Expedition by Catalina. It’s a 21’ 6” RV. I’m planning an electrical system upgrade in the first quarter 2025: LiFePO4 batteries, Victron Multiplus and a roof-top solar array...

My solar strategy when on metered power

...location long term (only one month but a record in one place for us) we are on metered power for the first time. Since we have pretty good solar, I’m trying to maximize the “free” power and minimize the metered power. So what I’ve concluded is that I should have shore power off as much as...

    solar/inverter/autoswitch set up.

So I have a fifth wheel that has a built in generator, had it installed at the dealer when it was new. I want to put in a solar set up with an inverter and auto switch so I don't have to run the generator as much when dry camping. Because of the built in generator there is already an auto switch...

    Can’t find pre-wired solar connection

We just bought a new 2021 Coachmen Chaparral 373MBRB that is pre-wired for rooftop solar. We see the connection on the roof, but cannot find the other end of the wires and/or the charge controller. Any suggestions?

MOD My new solar boondocking toy!

My wife Cindy and I have been RVing for over 25 years owning three different motorhomes with solar panels on the roof. The first two had 400W of ridged tilting panels that required me to climb and manually tilt the panels to gain optimum output while boon docking. Both of these motorhomes had...

    Question Battery Isolator indicates "Bridged"

I am sure the alternator is contributing….but not enough to cover all of the draw. I have 1440w of solar and even on the sunniest days, with the alternator contributing about 85 amps (1000 watts or so), the batteries will discharge. Do you have a shunt that could tell you what is being drawn...

    Coachman Euro?

...There is suppose to be a pull valve within 6" of the black tank. 2) There are also no plans to add a ladder to the back but it is reinforced if an owner want one. 3) The Euro LE can accommodate one more solar panel without any upgrade to the 'collector"...sorry, not familiar with solar systems.

    Solar for Dummies

Sorry, Knarf.....but from a purely practical standpoint, your solar panel setup will recharge the battery while you have some decent sun exposure, and that's about it. It's not very likely that you have the battery bank available to power the A/C, or even much of the 120 volt loads. A single...
