The shipment arrived today, from China, a month after ordering. I am thrilled with the result, so cool. Can't wait to install it and see how it works (on my plane).

@Neal I pulled the trigger today on the MK4 (Kit)....Cyber Monday deal with free shipping and some freebees. Delivery is 5-6 weeks which is okay (busy with Christmas projects) ...after receipt will be putting my MK3 up for sale. The MK4 seems to be more reliable, easier to service and the Wi-Fi capability were the biggest selling points.

That sounds great. I purchased the MMU3 upgrade to get rid of my painful MMU2S and hope that helps me some. Let me know how it works out for you. I'm dreading the assembly process for the MMU3 but can't wait for it to be done. Should have never gotten the MMU - 3D printing turned not fun with it.

By the way I finally installed that mount I had made from Xometry today on my plane, sooooo cool! Will show a pic when all put back together.

Sorry to report...I ended up cancelling the order (The long lead time provided too much time to second guess myself). Therefore, I can't offer any glowing reports on how wonderful it is...you can't blame it on me!

Awe bummer. Assembled version is down to 1-2 weeks but I’m holding out for free shipping. I too will realize what I have is just fine. Had some good prints yesterday and today.

Have you looked at the X1 Carbon? I think that’s the name. A friend got one and loves it.

The Really Annoying Card Container, the more irritating version of The Annoying Gift Box. Instead of 20 bolts, this one has 134 that have to be removed to get to the contents inside. It is scaled just about gift-card-size, so you can scale up as you want to fit bigger items. *11/28/2023...

@Neal...FInally pulled the trigger. Am in the middle of assembling the MK4/Enclosure Kits. I had forgotten how many parts are involved in the assembly! Hope to be up and running by the end of the week.
I designed something that requires a filament other than PLA. Have gone through PETG, PC, ABS trying to find the right combination. Have some ASA and TUF on order...think I'm getting closer. At any rate, the ABS is very sensitive and requires an enclosure which helped me rationalize the MK4 w/enclosure.

Nice, I like my enclosure, got the light with it which is nice for recording with OctoPrint I think it's called. Yes, assemblies are a bit painful but their documentation and guidance is really nice as you know. Hope it improves the prints. I need to get printing, a few things on the list to do.

YES! @Neal thanks for asking. Well worth the time and effort. I only had one small issue to correct before printing with perfection...had to adjust the Y Belt tension.

Such a difference...quality of prints, ease of changing filaments and the enclosure makes a big difference. I have not attempted to setup the WiFi...still using sneaker net to move files between the Slicer and the MK4.

Right now I'm struggling trying to get HatchBox TPU to print without strings.

Am in the final stages of tweaking a couple prototypes of a sporting goods product (each has about 10 unique printed parts and some significant woodworking requirements)...it introduces a new concept to the sport. A lot of fun, but keeping me very busy.

Are you printing much? Were you able to sell many of the mounts you designed? It is interesting how easy it is to get a quote on producing quantities of an item with simply uploading a file from Fusion360.

Still wishing I never got the MMU, what a pain and I don't do multi-color but maybe I'll dabble into it as Prusa Slicer has made it easier to do I think.

Yes, that's who I used to do mine. I uploaded manually, not directly from Fusion 360 which I thought you were referring to.
