I usually keep a kit in my spares supply so I have parts if needed. In the past I services my OASIS annually but think I'm going to do more on an as needed basis based on usage, need, etc. I typically buy the kits from Amazon sold by Independence RV. Is there a better place to source these kits? Time for me to pickup a 5 year kit.

3 Year:

5 Year:

Neal,

All of these kits are showing unavailable on Amazon?!

They were available this morning but my guess is Independence RV has shut down delivery until the hurricane passes through as they may not be able to process orders.

Wish I had an answer for a better place to purchase the kits. However, @Neal , you hit it on the head when you mentioned extending service intervals. I just installed a 5 year kit a couple of months ago even though my unit only had 170 hours on it. Every piece I replaced looked almost new and the burn chamber was barely dirty. Could very well be that my next service will be 3 years from now. I believe servicing should be by hours not by the calendar and that is how most of us non full timers will save money on the kits.

Independence RV is the source we used last time we ordered parts.
At this point our Oasis maintenance is this:
- Swap out nozzle with one that is clean either once a year or if it starts fouling up, which ever happens first
- Replace fuel filter every 3 nozzle swaps
- Swap out other parts as they fail - just be sure we have them on hand

They are showing available again. Just bought my 5 year kit to keep in spares.
