We had a Newmar mattress with a topper in our Ventana and it was not the most comfortable. The 2020 Dutch Star came with the sleep number. We figured we would just have to buy a mattress. We were wrong we sleep better in the MH on the sleep number than at home, and we have a sleep number we dont care for at home.

I am happy with the sleep number but more importantly my wife is Happy!

I replaced the queen in mine with a 10" box memory foam. In my house I had the same mattress in King Size and it is by far the most comfortable mattress I have had, going on 6 years on the house one, so got the same brand in standard queen for my Highland Ridge. (King too big for the RV)

I was quite upset to learn that Sleep Number no longer makes their beds for RVs (supposedly too many RVers didn't deflate before they tried to run their rigs through the mountains and burst their air bladders). I had purchased an RV Queen Sleep Number from Camping World back in 2018 and was ready to order one for my new 2023 New Aire. I found out that Newmar had changed to Innomax and thought I'd give it a try given the mattress that comes with the rig might as well be a couple of hay bales.

I ordered, received, and over the weekend installed my Innomax RV King Radius bed. Some initial thoughts:

Was way easier to install than my Sleep Number bed in my previous rig. With the air pump built into the foam base and everything preassembled it was a matter of placing the mattress on the platform, orientating it correctly, unwrapping it and letting it expand. No pump to mount, hoses to run, hose connections to fight with, etc. It was as simple as unroll, plug in, inflate... Oh, and fitted sheets actually fit!!! Without the hoses and the smart power and control cord routings fitted bed toppers and sheets installed like any other normal mattress.

Quieter pump operation than my previous Sleep Number.

In terms of $, the RV King Innomax was significantly cheaper than my previous RV Queen sized SN.

The hard wired controllers are not as good as the wireless ones for the Sleep Number. You don't scroll to the number you want as easily (clunky / delayed responses to button presses). You also are restricted to only controlling your side of the bed; no bumping your snoring bed partner with a change in support. When it comes time to travel and dump the numbers down to 5 in both air bladders, I do miss simply unplugging the Sleep Number from the outlet and disconnecting the two hoses at the pump (I had easy access in my previous install).

In terms of comfort only time will tell. Whereas I run my Sleep Number on the firmer side (past its halfway point), I found that I had to get the Innomax down in the 20s to be comfortable (below it's halfway point).
