Help Dead Battery!

Not sure what happened. We stepped out for the day and came back to dead chassis batteries. We’ve been connected the 30amp service for a week and a half and haven’t had any problems. Honestly I haven’t looked to see if it was charging because everything was running fine.

Anyway, everything is off, I’ve got the generator running but it seems nothing is being powered by the generator.

I’m not sure where the problem is coming from. PowerWatchdog doesn’t throw any errors but makes an audible click 2 seconds after being plugged in and disconnects power. A minute later, it tried to connect again and immediately disconnects.

I think the batteries have to have a certain amount of charge before the coach will take power?

Checked all the breakers, none are tripped.

@MapNerd ... not sure about the batteries but as to generator, there is a circuit breaker on the generator itself. Make sure that is still "ON".

After the generator breaker, I’d check the 300amp fuse in your battery compartment, on the wall upper right side. Pop off the plastic cover and see if it’s blown

Checked generator breaker. It’s set to on.
Looking for 300amp fuse...not finding anything. It’s in the house battery bay?

If you have surge protectors such as at the pedestal remove it. If you have a voltmeter check the pedestal.

I was assuming you’re dry camping since you mentioned the generator is your power source. Here’s a picture of that 300 amp fuse in the battery bay. Ive blown it when I’m running too many appliances concurrently, microwave and AC’s for instance.

No voltmeter so I’m a bit weary of plugging my coach into a pedestal with no protection without being able to check if first

I’m looking at the Magnum manual for the fault showing. I’m thinking maybe my batteries are too low so the magnum is rejecting shore power, which is what why the watchdog isn’t throwing errors but instead just clicking off, then trying again a minute later.

I can’t seem to get them to charge though. I turned in the generator, didn’t see them
Budge. Turned on the engine, nothing.
