On my new 4081 I have this panel on my electrical management panel. I know it monitors the Victron multiplus 3000 inverter/charger. I have a couple of manuals in my stack of literature about the Victron inverter but I can't seem to find anything that explains the operation of this remote panel. Most of it is pretty self-evident but I am wondering what the status pane is telling me. Is that the hours and minutes left of battery power I have to rely on? Can some one point me in the right direction to find an operating manual for it. I can's see a model number on the display. I know it monitors and configures the Victron 3000/12/120/50amp inverter.
Thanks for the help. I spent yesterday and last night off the hook at an overflow lot at a casino and did see the status after several hours of running one zone of the Oasis heater and fridges run down to 2 and change. I shut off the heater for the night and both fridges and in the morning the status was 10 and change. After running the generator for 45 minutes and then driving home about an hour, the status was as pictured. I am trying to figure out what I can run for how long between charging with the generator and just what numbers I should be looking for and at. The battery voltage never got below 12.5 V.

It looks like this monitor panel:

Obviously monitoring different stuff but its likely the same product. If its a 5” display it would be the Touch 50, 7” is the Touch 70. This is no manual for the display, just whatever equipment it is monitoring. So you’ll have to go through those manuals to figure out how to operate it.

This is the first I’ve even seen of Newmar abandoning Magnum and installing Victron equipment. Its an improvement IMHO but there will be a learning curve. As an example, it probably also controls your AGS and may monitor other things as well. This might be a question for the dealer and I’ve always had good results from Victron tech support.

Also are you using the VictronConnect app? This might open up a lot of monitoring and control capability. It depends on what other Victron equipment you have. Is there any documentation in your manuals case for a Victron Cerbo GX? If so that’s where you’ll find info on controlling the display. If it we me facing this, I’d tap that Victron logo and see what happens, but you’ve probably already done that.

@Neal , were you aware of this? No mention that I’ve seen of Victron in the Newmar brochures or specs.

Here’s an enhanced version of the Victron MFD pic from @Rustymayes . so it is either a Touch 50 or 70. This is also a product I wasn’t aware of but I haven’t been payong close attention to monitors since Inhave a Color Control GX. But it is clearly obsolete now.

When I was inquiring with Battleborn they mentioned some Servo GX or something like that. I'm using a Venus GX with my MPPT and BMV and all works well. All bluetooth into my phone, etc. and communicates with VRM.

I find system installation manuals, but they do not have basic information about how to interpret the data displayed. You need a master's degree in electrical engineering to read and understand most of it. I just need a user manual to understand the displayed data and what to do with the information. I will try to talk to someone at Newmar today and see what they know.

I looked for a manual for that display and there isnt one. They just say its a plug and play monitor for the Venus or Cerbo and others using that display. So you’d have to go to the manual for the system monitoring unit manual for info.

Since you’ve tried that, I think your best bet is calling Victron tech support. The folks at the dealer or Newmar will probably know very little about it.

It’s also possible (guessing here) that there is no system monitoring unit and your Touch 50 or 70 is connected directly to your inverter in which case it would be the inverter manual.

I find it quite interesting that your coach came with Victron equipment and would like to know more about the system, as I guess you would too, but for different reasons.

So I did some shopping for 2022 Dutch Stars and found some with Magnum and some with Victron. The victron equipped coaches have a system control panel like the one in your pic. Have you been through the menus/pages on your system? Your AGS must reside there too.

Guessing again, but maybe they did a mid-year switch to Victron? It may be frustrating now, but I think you are better off with Victron equipment. I might still make the switch - is your monitor 5” or 7”?

A little update - I looked at a bunch of 2023 Dutch Stars and they have Magnum stuff. So maybe you got one of a handful that were built when they couldnt get Magnum inverters - don’t know. But its interesting.

Rich, I think I will like the Victron, I will be looking into it but it looks like it will or is blue tooth and wifi enabled to remotely access and control. The frustrating part is not having the manual for it or knowing yet exactly which version I have, I do have a 5 inch screen and the link you provided has a video explaining what I think I have installed. I need to do some digging and find out what I have installed. You are welcome to stop by sometiime and help play with it before you upgrade if you like. I am an analog guy myself. I figured out how to configure a garage door opening system to remotely control 40 to 60 foot yachts but installed a couple of NEMA 2000 systems on boats so I think I will eventually figure this out. Luckily it is already installed and working, I just need to know how to use it to its potential.

I tend more toward analog myslef but you don't have much choice these days. Around 2006 I installed a chart plotter and Furuno radar calibrated to an electronic compass and all overlayed on one screen which was a major accomplishment for me.

Simple is better these days which is why I’ve steered clear from scrapping my Magnum system, but this gives me new incentive to consider the concept. Now that Newmar has installed OE Victron stuff its more of an upgrade rather than an all out modification or change.

I’d be interested to learn what you find out about your system. Have you been through the menu/pages section yet? What about AGS?

AGS is controlled thru the Newmar controller pictured in the lower right of the second picture that you posted earlier. I did go thru the menu pages a little. The position of the display being in that panel makes it difficult to use so I hope I can figure out how to access it using my I phone or I pad to play with it.
