Anybody ever test their water? I see the TDS meters are cheap and there’s kits to test more specifically which includes bacteria, which I guess is the main thing you would want to know about.

I recently bought a used unit and even though I disinfected the system I’m thinking about doing some testing. (Everything seemed very clean on this unit - even the black and gray tanks.)

City water does have a small amounts of chlorine. I frankly don't worry about it very much.
Here's some Food for thought,
One should sanitize to remove harmful germs and pathogens, but over-sanitizing can cause one's immune system to react negatively to a germ-induced environment. This can also draw allergic responses from the body when it is exposed to an environment less clean than the one in which it lives.
