I'm going to reach out to Ninja, my fear is some robed guy showing up at my doorstep! I tend to get addresses wrong at times! But they owe you money, either the grill maker or some dude that thinks he's a ninja :)

I have a call in to Jeff and since I dropped Neal's name I'm sure we will get the kickback straightened out in short order.

In the meantime, I'm enjoying the accessories Ninja has sent me for all of my referrals.

Excellent - no how about some pictures of some food! I'm hungry!

Its so blasted cold here that I don't want to go outside. It was 19 this morning with a high of 34 today. We're having meatloaf tonight done inside.

First time I smoked a meatloaf the DW said we were never making one in the oven again 😊

I've done meatloaf on my green mountain grill smoker, I liked it, but I never got smoke flavors on the GMG. If you're someone that likes the flavors of the wood pellets (smoke) then the Ninja is the answer.

Yeah, but I bet it wasn't 20 degrees and the wind blowing at 15mph the first time.

Did you put the meatloaf directly on, no pans, foil etc?

We had the portable GMG as our first one and always got smoky flavor. Normally used Hickory pellets to cook.

I think it was straight on the rack

Screwed up another great steak. I smoked to 110, seared to 135, rest for 10. It was more of a "medium" inside. I only used the Ninja temp probe. So next time I have to make a change, either my manual probe or stop at 125-130 as I prefer a medium rare (more rare).

I smoked with Oak which seems to be the strongest. I like a good smoke but this one may be borderline too much. I may need to take some notes on various wood pellets and what I like/don't like as I'll never remember in the sampler of the size of the Kona pellets which is 9 I think?

Have to do better! But it was good to fire it up again. My poor GMG is feeling very neglected. It may be time for another Brisket.

I also cooked steaks last night, but not on the Ninja. When I turned it on, the display displayed "LID or GRILL." I opened and closed the lid multiple times, moved the grill plate around, and pushed the plunger down a few times. I turned it off and back on with the same results so I gave up and cooked the steaks on my Blackstone.

I pulled the steaks at 120 and let them rest while we ate our salad. The steaks were perfect medium rare. @Neal , I suggest smoking to 100 and searing to 115 or 120. You can always cook it some more but I haven't found any way to uncook it.

After dinner, I thought I would check the Ninja one last time. I always store the air fryer basket inside the Ninja and it was stored there when I turned the Ninja on. I didn't get the message and it went straight to pre-heat. I turned it off, removed the basket, and tried again and it went straight to pre-heat. Dang gremlins.

For those looking for "extra" smoke from their grills.

One minute you're young and wild, the next you're into air fryers.

We have had an air fryer for two + years and didn't start using it until about 6 months ago. Amazing product. I still haven't used the Ninja air fryer setting.
