Hi folks. I think there is a 10 pic limit so i’Il put a few highlights to date. I’ll post camp ground prices where I can remember and remember they are in Canadian dollars for any foreigners viewing this.

We started in Vernon and then down the Okanagan valley for some winery tours. Osoyoos was our first stop for a few nights. There are about 300 wineries in the Okanagan.

On to Hedley where we wanted to take in some historic sites in the area. We stayed in river haven campground. Right on the river. In the forest. 55 bucks full service.

On to manning provincial park for 3 days of hiking. 50 bucks full service and the only provincial park we stayed in with services. Most provincial parks we stay in are dry camping.

Amazing trails. We are in our 60’s so we limit our hiking to 10 or 12 kilometres a day as I have a truck knee and Angela’s hip gives her problems if she pushes it too hard. Anymore than 5 kilometres and I carry radar the 13 year old wonder chihuahua in a pack.

On to Twsassenn and the ferry crossing to Vancouver island. We stayed in the living forest campground. Full service 55 bucks. Beautiful. Right on the ocean in the forest.

So much to do around the Nanaimo area and living forest is a good spot to anchor.

On to Goldstream Provincial park in an old growth forest. No services. 35 bucks a night.

Last pic is in port Renfrew, a small fishing village on the southwest coast of the island. We stuffed our faces with crab and camped in a marina campground. Very rough road going in. Ministry of transport installed DC fast charging stations here which we found useful. Most of our charging on this trip has been at campgrounds but we have utilized superchargers and BC hydro chargers a few times as well.

This is looking out our back window. The locals brought us fresh cooked crab.

In a week or two we’ll put up some more of the trip. We have a couple weeks before we get home. We have been on the road a little over three weeks but are now on the slow road home.

Hope you enjoyed the pics.
