Have you considered wrapping them like boats for transport? I see boats in that white shrink wrap type protection.
 
Yes! That material you see on the nose and cheeks of the trailer is protective film. I've asked our team to work on a more comprehensive coverage solution.

Amazingly, we've put several hundred thousand miles on our trailers and have yet to see any damage to windows that required replacement. The polycarbonate on the front windows is particularly designed for impact resistance and it's been performing well.
