I joined this forum way back in 2007 I think. My husband and I are now retired and able to travel more. At the moment we are stuck in Terlingua Tx looking for a diesel mechanic to help us with an air problem. No brakes and no mechanics that we can find. Anyone know anyone out here in this neck of the woods? Thanks in advance!

I read your post with interest, because that seems to be a pretty remote location...i did a google search, and it seems that the best I could find was well over 100 miles for mobile repair, and the nearest decent-size city is Fort Stockton, around 150 miles... Terlingua is remote - can't recall that I've even been there. (lived in Texas most of my life).

I doubt you will find any RV mechanics in that area. Try searching for truck mechanics, though as @bpaikman notes, it’s a pretty remote location so I’m not optimistic that you’ll find one nearby. Sorry to say you might need a tow.

I discovered that towing companies often have mobile service trucks.
