Question What are the best Cellular data plans currently available???

I visited the local AT&T store today and left 20 minutes later with a SIM card after paying $16 for setup and agreeing to $55 per month which can be cancelled at any time. Back at the coach, the SIM card worked immediately in the Pepwave MAX BR1 Mini.

I didn't mention yesterday, they said you can deactivate for up to 3 mos. without having to call back in. Prepaid plans are very flexible when we don't travel.

Might want to take a look at the Peplink forum with regards to some of the issues with the Peplink 5G devices. I get the impression some of the issues are not associated with certification. My hat goes off to you early adopters of bleeding edge technology.

Verizon prepaid that I'm on is supposed to also be able to deactivate for up to 3 months but I have yet to figure out how to do that and don't want to jeopardize the plan. Verizon's prepaid web site has always been a mess (to me).

Peplink Community I just came from their forum. There are two posts within the last 24 hours regarding 5G. One has to do with AT&T, the other with certification.

Will Max Transit 5G require individual certification?

I am waiting for my order to ship in full. The Max Transit 5G was available last Friday but I had the vendor wait until my Panorama dome and accessories were ready to ship. I should have everything by this time next week I hope. I’ll update this post once I deploy.

Why would you want this for an iPad when you can get unlimited on a tablet for $20 per month?
This costs me $20. I have it in an Android tablet but it works great in an iPad. This is the postpaid unlimited tablet plan that unfortunately is not advertised and some of the AT&T reps don't know about it.

You can only buy the $20 tablet plan by calling by phone or going to a corporate store (i.e., owned by AT&T). Some people also report success using the online chat.
It's talked about a lot on the LTE Hacks Facebook group because it's kind of the cheap go-to plan which is frequently abused by putting it in a router. It don't recommend that but it is perfectly legit to use in an iPad or other tablet.

Here's a list of steps copied from the Facebook group. Ignore step 6. That's telling you to put it in a router. Just put it in your iPad. That phone number seems to be the best one to call and use that exact name in step 2. Some people have more luck than others because some reps don't know it exists or try to sell you something else. I had to try twice because of a problem clicking on the link to agree to the terms and conditions but both times the actual sales process on the phone went smoothly.

That plan even had unlimited hotspot or tethering until a few months ago. Hotspot now stops at 10 GB but it's still unlimited on the tablet itself.

I wouldn't be surprised if it comes to an end some time but for now it's a great deal. I don't know what "unlimited" really means in practice but people certainly report doing hundreds of GB per month without problem.

I'm looking a new cellular plans for my routers so thought I'd post a question about great deals on plans you can use in mobile routers.
This isn't really for plans that no longer can be purchased (like the $29 Mobley), so please refrain from promoting expired deals.

What are the best deals currently running for ATT, Verizon, and T-Mobile?

I'll start with T-Mobile:
T-Mobile, $55/mon postpaid 100GB/mon plan-just covered by Mobile Internet Resource today:

This is a post paid deal based on auto-pay says Mobile Internet Resource Center, and does NOT require other lines-if so, this is a rare value IMHO. They are saying it's a limited time offer.

I am currently auditioning a pretty sweet deal from Ultra Mobile, $39/unlimited pre-paid (International Calling Plans from $14/Month | Ultra Mobile) if you choose auto-renew. Discounts if you refer friends
I heard about this on the Peplink forum. I got it about 10 days, ago, popped it in my Peplink Router, and in 1-2 days pushed about 35GB thru it and there has been absolutely no throttling. If i turn it off for a month I'll pay an extra $10 to recharge it. UltraMobile is an MVNO for T-Mobile. At my house I'm getting over 100MB/s down, WAY faster then ATT or Verizon here. I have read they throttle after 50GB so I'm checking this next. I'm also interested in T-Mobile for Band 71 usage, (2x the range possible vs most other higher freq bands) but haven't been able to test /confirm my setup would support.

Verizon:
I'd next like to find a good deal on a MVNO using Verizon, as I'm solid with ATT (have 2 SIMS from them they never throttlle as I've got many lines on a old plan). I cancelled my postpaid Verizon line at $45/mon as they ALWAYS hard throttled me after 22GB, VERY FRUSTRATING.

I've looked at Visible to get on Verizon but I'm concerned about reports they deprioritze Visible traffic on the Verizon network and increased latency and even throttling after as little as 5GB. But looking for confirmation on any of these rumors..

Please share details about any plans you've tried that are currently available!
