Getting the coach ready for a road trip and noticed a zone fault on the Oasis control. I soon realized no hot air in the front of the coach and no hot water. Looking in the Oasis Bay there is a red light on Heat Loop 1. Thoughts? Advice? NIRVC is thinking is may be the pump has shorted out and needs to be replaced.

The oasis pumps have known to fail from the 2017 and maybe 2016 year models and you can order a replacement pump from ITR who makes the oasis. If you choose to do it yourself, it requires you crawling into the passenger third bay from the backside of the oasis. Thankfully, I had someone helping who knew what to do. You may want to call ITR and talk to them first. Kevin is very helpful.

You most likely you will find the 5a fuse for the pump to be bad, caused by the pump shorting internally. Manual states change fuse and if ot blows again change the component. Pump is located within the distribution box like @sheridany stated and pump is the one located lower right corner.

You most likely can purchase the pump from ITR cheaper than Newmar.

ALL the problems I had with the Oasis were electrical (wiring) related.

NIRVC just called me and 2 of the pumps need to be replaced. Replacing both pumps will lighten my pocket by a little over $1k. Ouch!! I took the cover off the Distribution Module and looked it over pretty thoroughly. Due to the tightnes and close-quarters of that bay, I was afraid I would get part way into the project and unable to complete it. I did pull the silver cover of the Zone Control panel to check the fuses, they all looked good. Thanks for the advice and input!!

As an owner of a 2016 DS who has replaced 5 pumps in the Oasis system, I think I have found a better solution. Have to admit the first 4 pump changes were during the first 18 months of ownership. Pump from ITR cost a little over $200.00
ITR people are very helpful.
Five weeks ago I installed one of these: 12V Hot Water Circulation Pump Solar Water Pump 5M Lift Brushless Motor 800L/H 607052125448 | eBay
Had to buy two 1/2 inch barbs and used SS worm clamps for the hoses. For less than $20.00, I have a working system. Also had to replace the fuse. The old pump shaft was difficult to turn.
I'll post on here if it stops working.
We have been it mid 20s at night with not problems staying warm with plenty of hot water.
Good luck and be safe.

Hi John,
I ordered the same pump, but it looks way too small? Also, they sell it as 800 Liters per hour, but the pump label said 8 Liters per minute times 60 min = 480 liters per hour?

Did you do a covid cleanse on that thing?

Hey Buly,
I've noticed on cold mornings (in the 20s) I have to turn the shower faucet all the way in the hot direction to take a long hot shower. This is with AC 1&2 and the burner on. Think I'll do some research. Found this one on eBay and ordered two.

After rereading your post, I see your point. These eBay pumps might not have the flow for the most efficient operation. But they work in a pinch. Ordered one from ITR this morning but they are backordered. Maybe this week.

If you are interested in alternates to the ITR pump here is one I've used in the summer loop. Been running with good results for about a year so far. I bought the "A" model (TL-C01-A12-2008) but the "C" version might be easier to install. I bought the 20L/min flow unit but I expect the 17L/min unit would work just fine. For the "A" version I converted the 1/2" hose in the distribution unit summer loop to 5/8" to make it easier to get the hose on the pump. Might have been able to get the 1/2" on it but it was more that I wanted to fight with in the cramped quarters of the basement. Yes I ordered from AliExpress and it came from China but all worked out fine, shipping took a couple weeks. I ordered a couple since the shipping cost was pretty steep.

Dirthoe where is the best place to purchase the summer pump ? I tested everything and have come to the conclusion it’s the summer loop pump . And all I have to say is that you all are amazing!!!!! The info that you all have is priceless Thank you all again 😊😊😊😊

This will be my next pump substitution. Ive used the 3/4” retro kit when the correct ITR pumps were unavailable (total pain and will never do it again) and most recently replaced the summer loop pump with a current ITR item ($300 so that‘s beyond reasonable), so I’ll order one of these soon just to have it in stock. I don’t have experience with them yet but got this source from someone who had good results. The price is right and it has the right specs.

I can tell you from experience that anything with other than a 1/2” barbed fittin (or 12-13mm) isn’t worth the effort of retro-fitting. There is no extra room in the box for messing around with adapting hoses.

As for the $300 ITR pump, they seem to indicate that it is an improvement (don’t recall where I read that) over the original which for the price it should be. And the high failure rate is also really inexcusable. My unit is on its fourth replacement - every pump and zone one twice! Hopefully my new $300 summer loop pump will go the distance, but in the future I’ll use the $81 US Solar unit and take my chances.

I installed one of the solar pumps and it is a 100% perfect replacement.
Good to know - It may have been one of your posts that led me to it.

No heat in rear bedroom or rear bathroom. Oasis says zone fault for those areas. To late to go check for fuses so I'll do it tomorrow. But from what I'm reading, the fuses generally blow because the pump is shorted out or bound up. And from what I'm reading, changing the pumps is a real pita?

May seem like a silly question, but is the Oasis the only source of heat in these coaches? No heat pump?
