Question 2007 E450 V-10 loss of power

I had something similar happen on an old truck. It was a bad alternator. It wasn't giving enough spark to the plugs....
 
Sounds like it in limp home mode
If it was, it never said so on computer, ever no present codes, no stored codes.. nothing at all.. starts and runs great everytime , never got hot ..just a loss off power whenever I kick into passing gear.. engine was actually pinging real bad was scary was worried about permanent damage

Check the ping sensor, may be called knock sensor. Crank position sensor. And timing chain.
 
Just to verify throttle sensor you can test it easy enough
