Just saw a video of a 2025 Newell recently with a Cummins X15N.
And FYI, Newell’s production is low enough to still allow them to sell to these restricted states, e.g. Cali.

Is this CARB act going to affect campgrounds or only sales? For example any impact on locations like Desert Shores @sheridany??

I would think some of these coach only campgrounds might have to change their business model a bit.

Maybe start thinking about adding more robust electric systems so they can add 19.2 KW (100 amp) pedestals for more robust L2 charging of EV motorhomes. They are coming.

@Neal I don’t think it will but time will tell. Better said it hasn’t yet. There are a lot of factors to consider in the state and at the federal level so I am taking the position of wait and see. Prevost conversions, like Newell, convert a small number of buses annually so they aren’t subject to the same requirements. Like I say time will tell.

You would think the states taking action against diesel would lead the effort and set an example for a way forward.

Yah for sure. But really until EV truck chassid manufacturers start selling their EV truck chassis to integrators like Newmar or maybe Super C manufacturers the chances of seeing electric super C or other EV motorhomes is slim. Teslas only produces about 110 semis a year right now and that won’t change until the new Nevada semi line comes on line in first quarter 2026. And even then every single chassis is pre-sold for at least 5 years.

I can see the smaller 5 ton chassis being adapted first to RV’s. There are a bunch of manufacturers making those. We see them in town here often.

I read somewhere today Oregon will delay implementation of ACT until 2026 so 2025 DPs will still be available for sale

edit: found the info Oregon to temporarily delay zero-emission trucks rules

Not good news for to turn back California RV ban.
