First thing to consider, well the only thing to consider, Is! How do our activities effect the world environment. For example! PG&E can build a generation plant just outside of Bullhead AZ, and avoid regulatory problems. However that doesn't reduce pollution/poisoning our collective environment. What it does is hide what is being done by thinning the vail so to speak.

Even if you don't live in LA the problem is yours. The same way shifting manufacturing to places like China, or other places that don't have the same controls, only serve to produce more environmental issues, even if your personal space seems more palatable.

No this is a problem that is collectively shared, and all should be willing to share in the cost to fix it.
Yep!! Here in Alberta Canada our Govt is mandating better performance of our power generating plants. We have moved from coat to natural gas but that, apparently, is still not clean enough! But, sadly, on top of the existing coal mines, a new one is being opened and a few more are in the works! The purpose.......to supply China!! It has also been proven that it is impossible for some of our headwaters to NOT be contaminated by said coal mining! I shake my head.

Good try Rich 😉 but it IS political. Most of what the current leadership in CA does is either illegal or unethical. But for now they have a long leash as the voters in this state have elected to live under these conditions. It defies all logic...what many experts will tell you, is that an RV carrying the amount to electrical power to push them down the road will weigh so much, the roads will be destroyed beyond the current condition (which is not good). The voting majority in CA have "LEFT" common sense behind and this beautiful state is being hijacked. Sorry for the rant Neil, and I understand if you banish me, but truth is truth so help me GOD. Blessings
I personally would not want to sit on a load of lithium batteries going down the road. Thank God, my vehicles are registered in Montana. I don’t have to deal with this liberal point of no return.
