Shoot Ronnie...sorry you’ve been infected too!

Extend your awnings and you WILL see the housing warp as the arm has no support behind it.
I just climbed on the roof and took video of it coming in and out. Do you see anything moving?

As we get closer and closer to going FT and ordering a DS, I'm getting more and more concerned with the issues I see popping up here and on the other board; windows that are falling off, etc. ?
Yeah it can’t be alarming but look at it this way, Newmar stepped up and is covering the repair. I don’t see that happening with, well any other RV manufacturer. Mistakes get made, at least Newmar owns it and makes it right. The windows are gonna fall out of all of those other RVs too, but guess who’ll pay those repairs?

here is a few photos of the mount location. Turns out the rear is correct.

I can't see anything from afar, Ronnie. You'll see it though; the plate would be lifted up and the Dicor would be split. I've attached another photo.

As to the bracket location...
With the awning extended, you need to be up on a ladder, under the awning, and then sight down the length of the housing and you'll see the warping I mentioned above. That's a bit harder to capture in a photo, however.

My dicor looks good, but regardless, the mount is in the wrong location. I will see what Newmar has to say. My sticker is worn away, but the location was clearly still visible where the mount should have been installed.

Good; your screws must be all tight.
Newmar DOES know about this; so be ready for the "hmmm, this is the first I've heard of this" malarkey.

Those stickers are a mere "reminder". It's a NO-BRAINER as to where the mount should go...perfectly centered behind the center arm, and the others no more than 2" from the end.

Gee, it's even spelled out in their Installation Manual...but who needs to read the manual, obviously not Newmar, right? They even give you pictures!

Just reading this and other posts about "challenges" people could have makes me wonder about ordering a new coach regardless of manufacturer. Yes, Newmar does a great job but still if I have to pay that much for an RV, I should not have to pay whatever the charge is for FPU to be sure things are done right. In the case of Girad, I would have never known about it unless people post information. Thank goodness for forums. It seems like the list is growing longer every day of the things you need to check when doing a FPU or a PDI at a dealer. It's concerning.

I just called Girard, but all that accomplished was verification of everything @CaptainGizmo posted.

Newmar has replied with the typical "never heard of this, and here is how you can adjust it on your own" bs...

In order to gain as much attention and input, I've made a post on other forums. In case you'd like to give input, or keep track, here is the link:

How goes the saying? You get what you pay for? You could always order a Newell.
