I came across this in MEWE. I thought it was important to share. I could not 'share" the post, so I copied and paste it here.

Oh gawd, I am so stupid sometimes.
I thought my fresh water tank was leaking. Was preparing to spend hundred$ to fix/replace it. Neighbor came over to help lift it out, found that my water pump leaks!
So I took the water pump apart to see about buying a new diaphragm (which is where it was leaking). Yes, they’ll sell that part.
But lookee here. Izzat black mold in my water pump? I may have just found the cause of my health problems. And here I thought it was the booze... no, it was THE ICE CUBES!

Thank god you found it. Just think how much booze you might have wasted.?

This is the reason that 1) I always bleach my water system every season, 2) I don’t leave water in the system, and 3) use a fine micron water filtration system for cooking/drinking/ice.
I think I would replace the pump and bleach the hell out of my system.

That's what I'm doing, Allen. Got the freshwater tank filled with bleach solution now. Will leave it in there to soak while I wait for a new pump to arrive.
