Just ordered a Superstar 4059 from NIRVC
I have asked for the following and will update when I get a reply
Upgrade to AGM batteries
Outside vent for convection oven
110 Outlet in rear bath closet
Change kitchen sink to an MA sink
Prep for outside freezer

I am shocked as I just wanted to know the current price of factory pickup, $6,600 I would never do it but wanted to know the current pricing
Congrats on the purchase!

I will be curious if they quote the vent for the convection oven as they denied mine. If they quote yours then my denial must have been due to the floor plan we chose rather than Newmar no longer doing that special.

As far as the factory pickup being $6600. That is the MSRP. It would also be discounted by whatever percentage NIRVC gives you on your RV. The that brings the price down to ~$5000. My understanding is NIRVC changes ~$4000 for their PDI which they don't charge if you do factory pickup. So the added cost for factory pickup isn't as much as it looks.

It's an added cost we are willing to pay as we feel there is a great benefit of having access to a Newmar tech for two tot three days as well as their entire parts inventory if something needs to be repaired or replaced.

The factory pickup option is not discountable. I have been told this with my last coach and a friends purchase. That price is what they charge NIRVC. If they discounted for you they may have had room in the overall pricing. As for NIRVC's charge they do a great PDI and you can stay there a few days also. Newmar will overnight any parts to all dealers as that happened with my previous purchase.. I am sure they will not discount their own PDI much, as its probably added to each coach regardless as a cost of doing business. Besides with my deal I am not too worried. Maybe someone who has done this in the past can let us know
As for the vent, I know that they still do it, but yes I think it is floorplan based. I have a feeling they may not do it on mine either due to the location but I have to ask. Last two Newmars were lot bought and they did not have it.
I really want the MA kitchen sink, I dislike the SS sink as I had the same one in my 21 Ventana. I have broken two coffee decanters with that center divider.
Did you get a rough idea yet on delivery. I am thinking late April.
I will let you know on the vent

Congratulations and enjoy

We were looking to add a vent to our 4061 when we went to the mothership for warranty work.

Quote was right around $1100 to add the vent.

We can't take delivery until mid-July due to our personal schedules. Originally I thought we would have to strategically time when we put the order in to hit that time frame but were able to put in our order now and be able to do our pick up in July. Kimberly our sales person (does anyone else feel "RV Lifestyle Specialist" is a bit over the top) mentioned Newmar is currently running about four months for deliver so April sounds like a realistic delivery time.

About FPU…I have done both FPU and dealer delivery at NIRVC. There was no comparison. Newmar FPU is worth every dime. I would do it if they charged $10K.

+1^1000 - do the FPU, it is worth it and will save you months/years of misery. PDI is "pretty it and get off my lot" - NEVER PASS UP FPU and yes it is negotiable. It is a buyers market, don't think anything otherwise. They will probably include FPU just to get your sale but it's probably too late. I'd also reach out to another dealer such as Steinbring. Dealers to me just place the order, after that I do FPU and never need the dealer again.

Sad fact is today's builds are not like 10 years ago. Paint, wood word, quality, etc. are all lacking and you will need to keep that coach at Newmar until much is corrected before it leaves. Reality and it's the cost of your pleasure ahead - do the FPU!

I have owned 8 rvs already. I rarely have had to go in for service beyond chassis maintenance as I no longer get that dirty lol. I really do not feel the need for $6,600.
I have heard from two different folks who did the fpu and had issues a month later. I think its the luck of the draw. When I buy an rv I check everything before money exchanges hands. I do not care if its eight hours I am doing a thorough check on every system. If something happens later it happens
I also do not feel Newmar should be paid for what they should have found in QC, it literally pays them to do warranty work

100% agree with this, it was one of my heartburns as well. It sounds like you have great experience, it was my first RV (and Class A) so it was well worth it to me for many reasons. Sounds like you have a solid plan and hope all goes amazing for you! Standing by for pics :)
