Interest rates are very good right now. We have not seen any raises in months. In fact, a couple lenders have softened up a couple programs. Lenders still need to lend.
Thanks for your reply and information on rates. We are financing-adverse (no mortgage, no car payments, no credit card debt, etc.) so that means we are looking at older, low-mileage class Cs to get us in the game. There seems to be a lot of those units out there but since we've not looked at other times we don't know how it actually compares to other times. Guess that's the point: looking for insight from the experienced as to how used prices compare now. Have they come back down? On the way back down? We know this is an expense, not an investment but don't want to take a bath on something we are assuming we can easily resell if we either want out or want something different after a bit of experience.
Thanks, Ken. Based on that, now is the best time for us to buy: need/want one now and we think we've identified what we'd like. But having only tent camped off our motorcycles or from the truck with our kids, who knows if this will be like we imagine. It's that inexperience with RV'ing and the vagaries of life that makes us enter cautiously and look for an out without a huge loss, if needed. Thanks for the reassurance that taking a bath is unlikely (unless we make a really wrong turn and get duped into a dud, which could be a whole other thread!).
