I replaced the water filter and have problems getting water for the ice maker and the door water dispenser. I know it must be airbound and I've tried all the manual and online tricks to get the air out. I get either a trickle of water or no water. I've held the water dispenser down for 5 seconds off 5 seconds and repeated it multiple times. I've also held the water dispenser for 5 minutes. Any ideas from this vast unpaid wealth of knowledge?

For my house refer procedure after replacing a filter it's letting about 1-2 gals through. Have you tried holding the water option on for a longer time maybe a minute or two?

Have you tried removing and replacing the new filter? Inspect for clogs in the new filter? You know, obvious weird things?

I assume the water line in the basement is intact and shutoff valve is open?

Is water pump on?

I've tried for 5 minutes. A trickle will come out then nothing, trickle, nothing, on so on.

Yep, removed and reinstalled 3 or 4 times. I'm not sure how I would check for a clog in the filter.

I checked and yes, its open.

same res

The water pump was on and I connected to the park water with the same results.

Do you still have the old filter?

Well of course not!!!! That was the first thing I kicked myself in the rear for.

I've ordered another one from your store. I sure wish you shared your profits with some of us underlings.

I’ll get you a link to refurbished filters :) Save a few.

I would appreciate the link, thanks.

aka gently used...

Try taking out the filter and running the water without the filter installed for a few seconds and reinstalling the filter.

The filter must be installed.
