My state is way behind. I don’t understand why as it’s not like we didn’t know it was coming. At any rate, I have two friends in Md in the healthcare field that have received theirs. One just had their first shot and the other has now had two. The one who just received their second one had mild reactions, but that appears to be the pattern.

Here in VA, I’m in what is labeled group 1C, and they are still working on 1A. My wife (whom I am more concerned about) isn’t even in group 1 and will not likely be eligible until spring or summer. Oy.

I haven’t seen anyone say they’ve had it yet, and that is why I’m asking out of sheer curiosity. I’m interested in hearing your experiences.

Please don’t turn this into a political pissing contest discussion.

I didn't watch the speech, but didn't Gov Northam explain it all last Wednesday? As to why Virginia is way behind in vaccinations?

Our parents, who live in MI, OH and CO, in their 90s, have not been vaccinated. The parent living is MI is supposed to get her vaccine on Monday.

Family members, who are in the medical field, have gotten the 1st dose.

Our grandson, who is a first-responder (police officer) is due for his second vaccine dose next week. He said he had a sure arm for a day or two after the first dose, but nothing else. Several of his fellow officers had no reaction at all.

LadyDi and I are in the 1B group here in Washington and it looks like we may get our first dose by the end of the month or in early February. I think each state has some scheduling flexibility within the CDC guidelines.

I'm not much of a vaccine person. I don't get the flu vaccine either. I used to work for an employer that made us get it. I got sick every time. I haven't worked there in 13 years and it's been about that long since I've had the flu. I haven't had COVID-19 and I doubt I'll get it. With a 99.96% recovery rate why subject myself to lord knows what that they've put in that vaccine? I'd rather keep my immune system at top operating condition and let it fight it off. If I get sick, I'll go to the Doctor and we'll deal with it then. Sometimes the cure is worse than the disease.

I didn’t watch it either, but one thing he has said that I was happy to hear is he doesn’t want any vax to be wasted. Apparently the packaging of the product is such that if you open one, you open 50 (or whatever), and some sites were throwing out unused product if their line of 1A recipients ran out.

Not big on vaccines myself, rarely ever got the Flu vaccine and never got the Flu. If you go by reported stats, the Flu is non existent this year. No reported Flu cases. Interesting.

Now retired, exposure to potential infection very low. Spend my time on my hobbies around the house and RV.

We are in an area of FL that has not been affected too much by Covid. There was some 1b vaccinations last week due to excess first responder doses available. Other than the Miami area, infections are slowing and the Florida Covid mortality rates have steeply declined.

Recently the Covid positive tests did spike slightly with the arrival of snow birds.

Generally life goes on as normal with the exception of having to wear a Muzzle, AKA Mask, in some national establishments. Most everything is open.

Florida is jamming them in anyone's arms that is over 65 years old as fast as they arrive down here. We even know a Canadian couple who winters in Ft Myers that got their shots last week. Lee County (Ft Myers area) seems to be one of the quickest Counties to be getting them out.

The DW and I have already had covid so we aren't in any big hurry to go stand in line for a couple hours to get ours yet. We each have a 92 year old living parent up in Illinois that can't seem to get their shot and that is really bothering us. I guess different States have different priorities.

My wife and I have an appointment for vaccinations Wednesday in Naples.
